Taylor Distributing Co. is seeking a highly-motived individual to complement its growing
intermodal drayage operation. Ideal candidates will have at least 3 years’ experience in
the drayage market and TMS proficiency. The following skills are essential:

• Works well in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task.
• Quick problem solver; ability to come up with solutions to resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Excellent communicator, very organized & detail-oriented.
• Customer service focused; provide excellent customer service at all times.
• Schedule transportation loads, plan most cost-effective routes to ensure timely & safe delivery.
• Verify and track all scheduled loads.  Ensure customer service needs are exceeded.
• Works well in a team atmosphere with Sales, Customer Service, Safety, HR, and Accounting.

Human Resources Generalist

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Organizational Development: Lead in the design and development of company HR initiatives and programs to ensure they are aligned with our business needs. Accurately identify organizational issues, develop solutions, and implement action plans. Promote effective methods of communication and empowerment. Establish and maintain positive community relations. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks.

Associate Relations: Act as primary contact for all employee relations issues/concerns and investigate associate complaints. Conducts engagement meetings with associates to gain “pulse” of the environment. Ensures compliance and execution of policies, procedures and programs. Primary contact for employee benefit questions including medical, dental, and life insurance.

Human Resources Generalist

Training and Development. Develop and lead Logistics based training program and initiatives. Advise and coach associates for career development and performance issues. Provide guidance and direction to employees with emphasis on maintaining a high performing work environment. Facilitate and coordinate the annual performance review process.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION B.S. in Human Resources or related field, 3 years minimum of experience in an HR role in Logistics. Excellent interpersonal, analytical and organization skills. Strong PC skills (Microsoft Office Suite) Knowledge of HRIS systems (desired) Strong knowledge and understanding of federal and multi-state HR laws and DOT regulations Problem solving and decision making skills. Conflict management and resolution skills. Must be a hands on professional, who functions within a team environment. Must possess proven ability to develop credible relationships with business partners.
